WHAT IS THE RISING PROFESSIONALS SCHOLARSHIP?

ACG now provides scholarship opportunities for engineering students to attend the CxEnergy Conference & Expo, the premier industry event for building commissioning, energy management, and building technology.

These scholarships allow recipients to attend CxEnergy and be in the room with other industry experts, making connections that will accelerate their career while being exposed to the latest in building commissioning and energy management.

In addition to a complimentary registration, recipients will be reimbursed* for a round-trip coach flight to CxEnergy and two complimentary nights at a host hotel; recipients will also receive exclusive access to the CxEnergy 2027 Career Fair and Mentor Program, complimentary access to the ACG Building Systems Commissioning Guideline ($149 value), and access to the ACG Essential Cx Webinar Series (6 webinars, July-December 2027).

Eligibility:
Applicants must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university and have completed at least one year of a bachelor’s degree program in a technical field related to the built environment. Examples include, but are not limited to, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Science, Energy Engineering, Facilities Management, HVAC Engineering Technology, and related technical disciplines.

Application Requirements:
Please submit all application materials at the same time. All supplemental documents should be uploaded as a single PDF file. Applications missing any required documents will not be considered.

Selection Process:

Selection of scholarship recipients will be based on the merits of the submitted application materials. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

All applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Selection Committee. The Committee has sole discretion in evaluating applications and selecting recipients, and all selection decisions are final.

Scholarship recipients will be recognized at CxEnergy 2027. ACG will sponsor the recipients’ attendance at the conference. No scholarship funds will be distributed directly to students.

What does the CxEnergy Rising Professionals Scholarship include?

The scholarship provides complimentary registration to CxEnergy 2027, access to technical education sessions, the Expo Hall, networking events, Mentor Program, Career Fair, complimentary two nights stay at host hotel, and reimbursement for eligible flight expenses.

Who is eligible to apply?

The scholarship is open to undergraduate and graduate students interested in commissioning, energy management, building performance, HVAC, controls, facilities management, sustainability, and related engineering or construction fields.

What are scholarship recipients expected to do?

Recipients are expected to actively participate in the Rising Professionals Program, which includes attending the conference, engaging with mentors and industry professionals, participating in designated scholarship activities, completing required surveys, and submitting reimbursement documentation within 30 days following the conference.
